There's a real gap between "we tried ChatGPT for this" and an AI system the business can actually lean on day to day. Closing it is mostly automation engineering, not model selection — I've built enough of these to know the model's rarely the hard part. It's wiring an LLM properly into the tools the business already runs on, building the n8n or Make.com pipeline that fires it on a schedule or a trigger, and handling the failure cases properly so it doesn't quietly stop working three weeks in while everyone assumes it's fine.
Work ranges from a single automated workflow — an inbox triage agent, a document-extraction pipeline, a reporting bot — through to multi-step agent systems reading from and writing back to the tools the business already runs on. Self-hosted where it matters for cost or data control. Cloud where speed matters more. I'll tell you which one actually fits, not which one's trendier.

What's the actual difference between this and just opening ChatGPT?
ChatGPT in a browser tab is a demo. This is AI wired into a workflow — reading from your systems, doing the work, writing the result back — running on its own, without someone copy-pasting prompts into a chat window every morning.
Do you work with Sydney businesses in person or remotely?
Primarily remote — I'm Sydney-based (AEST) and this work is naturally async-first: pipelines and agents get built, tested, and handed over without needing to be in the same room. A Sydney meet-up for scoping is easy enough to arrange if it helps.
Do you build with self-hosted tools or cloud AI APIs?
Both, depending on the job. n8n and Make.com pipelines are usually self-hosted or low-cost cloud; the AI layer itself typically calls a hosted LLM API. I'll recommend whichever combination keeps cost and reliability sane for the actual workload — not whichever sounds better in a pitch.
