I started SKUNK//SYSTEMS because I was tired of watching good businesses drown in bad tech. Now I'm here wiring up AI, automations, operations, and ecommerce platforms that actually hold together.

What does a solution architect actually do for a small business?
I design and build the tech that runs behind your business — the systems, integrations, and automations that let it actually scale. I need to understand the whole stack (not just one API) to fix it properly, then I get hands-on and build it myself.
I need local support with AI & automation — is that something you do?
Yes. I put LLMs and AI to real work (not demos) inside actual business workflows, and build automation pipelines with n8n / Make that kill manual busywork — data entry, reporting, cross-platform sync, the stuff nobody wants to do by hand.
Do you only do e-commerce, or broader IT and operations work?
Ecommerce platform engineering is my strong suit — high-volume order-to-label pipelines, multi-carrier shipping and rate shopping, marketplace-carrier-3PL integration, Shopify GraphQL. But the work spans IT, AI, and business operations more broadly; ecommerce is where it's most battle-tested.
Do you fix existing systems or build new ones?
Both. Sometimes it's faster to rescue what you've got — an integration silently failing, a workflow held together with duct tape — than to rebuild from scratch. I'll tell you which makes sense after a short call.
Do you work on a project basis or ongoing retainer?
Mostly project-based — scoped, quoted, delivered. Some clients keep me on a small retainer for ongoing automation maintenance and systems work. Happy to discuss either.
What tools and platforms do you work with?
Shopify GraphQL Admin API, n8n and Make.com for automation, Node/TypeScript for custom builds, plus a broad AI/LLM toolkit. On the ecommerce side, general shipping and fulfilment API integration across multiple carriers.
I need local support in Australia — are you based here?
Yes — Sydney, AEST time zone. I work with Australian businesses directly and remote-friendly clients worldwide. Most project communication is async, which suits both sides.
